Apocalypse Virus (Guilty Crown)

My totoro nails, unfortunately, came off while I was swimming. I didn't clean up my nails because I wasn't completely finished when the pictures were taken, therefore they are messy.
Inspiration was taken from Guilty Crown, the logo being on my thumb.

The bottom picture is actually upside down, but the logo says GC. The apocalypse virus is created during Lost Cristmas when a girl accidently becomes the virus unleashing it upon the world. So the word on my nail signifies the apocalypse virus since that wouldn't actually fit on my nails. The purple nails are the virus, I tried drawing them off this picture. It didn't come out as well as I wanted, but I still like it.
I don't know what purples I used, but the black is essence colour and go Black is Back and the white is OPI My Boyfriend Scales The Walls.

Hibiscus Flowers

This is mom's new manicure for this week. I painted her nails first using Guava by Revlon, which is more pink than show ups in these photos. Stamping always seems to work out better when I'm doing it on my own fingers, but I'm somewhat satisfied with how the hibiscus flowers turned out. It seems like the same petal was a problem each time, so maybe I can blame it on a faulty nail plate :)

Emilee

Pawprints

China Glaze Frostbite and Konad's Special White nail polish were combined to create white pawprints upon the blue. This was based off of cats. They are dog paw prints but the lady who did this with us thought of her kitten when she saw them.

Sea turtles

We used the sea turtles on the stamping the plates bought on e-bay. I'm unaware of what colors were used, and I think she forgot as well.
The stamps we just the sea turtles on the white background, and she added the purple polka dots around them. I'm pretty sure the blue was Sally Hansen Blue Me Away, and the white was My Boyfriend Scales Walls by OPI. But I could be wrong.

My Neighbor Totoro Nails

My neighbor Totoro nails. The thumbs represent Totoro, the main character. The white and blue totoro-esque ones on my ring fingers are Totoro's companions. Soot sprites are just plain adorable, so those are everywhere. :o)
I used this link to a video for a tutorial of how to create my happy little soot sprites and Totoros.
Have fun if you decide to use that tutorial, I claim it in no way and I do not know this person. It's a very good instructional video and I hope we can spread the Totoro happiness.

Fourth of July manicure for our mom

For the fourth of July, and our mother, we designed nails. Using the following paints: OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, China Glaze Salsa and the China Glaze Frostbite.
We also incorporated a stamping tool. This is called the Salon Express stamping kit, specifically a Shany Cosmetics stamp plate with a band of three stars on it.
The idea was that we wanted it to look like the American flag, but not to literal. So one finger, the ring finger, was painted blug to represent the blue retangle which the stars on on. Two fingers are red, as well as two being white. The red and white are to represent the stripe in a pattern. The stars are stamped onto the blue fingers, as to look like the white stars upon the blue on the actual flag.

Welcome to Speak Manicure.

Welcome to 'For Those Who Don't Speak Manicure'. This is a blog created for the purpose of showing people how to get a, mostly, perfect manicure without the expensive cost.
Many different techinques shall hopely be posted upon this site to share with you.
We are three sisters, who have gotten into manicures together. The three of us have used trial and error to find the most unique nail design we can. We have done things from glittery rainbows, to french manicures. The hopes to share these with you is what made us want to create a blog.
